Discussing Very Real Issues

Representatives from the Private Sector came together with Lieutenant Governor Gary R. Herbert, Deputy Director of Utah’s Homeland Security Jeff Graviet and Renee Murphy of Ready Your Business to discuss what will happen in the event of a catastrophic emergency along the Wasatch Front.

The Round Table allowed for discussion of who has what resources and how they can offer and ultimately distribute those resources in the event of emergency.  The reality is, the public and private sector will need to rely on each other in an emergency.  Were an earthquake to hit, water, sewer, power and gas technicians and employees become responders.  These conversations are crucial in coordinating this response.

For more information on the Round Table, who was there and what was said, see this months special edition of Utah Business Magazine sponsored by Be Ready Utah and Ready Your Business.
